First 24-48 Hours (Critical Period)
During this time, the bonds in your brow hairs are still setting. Disrupting them can affect your results.
Avoid
- Getting brows wet (shower, swimming, rain)
- Steam and saunas
- Sweating (gym, hot yoga)
- Touching or rubbing your brows
- Makeup on or around brows
- Oil-based skincare products
- Sleeping face-down
Do
- Gently brush brows into place
- Let brows air dry if accidentally wet
- Sleep on your back or side
- Keep your normal routine elsewhere
Daily Care Routine (After 48 Hours)
Once the initial period passes, establish a simple daily routine to maintain your results:
Brush into shape
Use a clean spoolie to brush brows upward and outward. This trains the hairs to stay in their new direction.
Apply nourishing oil
A small amount of castor oil or rosemary oil keeps brows hydrated and promotes healthy growth. Mix at a 1:1 ratio for best results.
Gentle cleansing
Cleanse brows gently when washing your face. Avoid harsh rubbing or exfoliating products directly on the brow area.
Products to Avoid Near Brows
These ingredients can break down the lamination bonds and shorten your results:
Oil-Based Removers
Use micellar water or oil-free makeup remover instead
Retinol & Retinoids
Apply to the rest of your face, avoiding the brow area
AHA/BHA Acids
Glycolic, salicylic, and lactic acids can affect results
Exfoliating Scrubs
Physical exfoliants can damage the lifted hairs

- Rosemary oil Stimulates hair follicles, adds shine
- Clear brow gel Helps set brows in place during the day (after 48 hours)

Common Aftercare Questions
What if my brows get wet accidentally?
Gently pat dry with a tissue (don't rub) and brush back into shape. A brief splash won't ruin results, but try to keep them dry during the first 48 hours.
Can I wear brow makeup?
After 48 hours, yes. Use powder or pencil products rather than pomades or wax-based formulas. Remove makeup gently with oil-free remover.
My brows feel dry — is this normal?
Some dryness is normal after chemical processing. Regular application of nourishing oil will restore moisture. If brows feel brittle, use a keratin treatment.
Can I still use my normal skincare?
Yes, just apply retinol, acids, and exfoliants to the rest of your face while avoiding the brow area. Your regular moisturiser is fine.
When to Contact Your Technician
While rare, reach out if you experience:
- Excessive redness or irritation lasting more than 24 hours
- Swelling around the brow area
- Visible hair breakage or loss
- Allergic reaction symptoms
Minor redness immediately after treatment is normal and should subside within a few hours.
